Transcendence II
Transcendence II
This painting is unavailable, it was auctioned off at the House of Lords in London, England on the 1st of March 2018 for the "Frame the Future" fundraising dinner in support of "The Flourish Foundation", providing Art Therapy projects for displaced children and young adults in refugee camps in Ritsona, Greece. Hosted by the Right Hon. The Lord Whitty, organized by art curators "Flat Space Art". Entire proceeds were donated to charity.
Romano named this piece Transcendence II due to the process involved. Using a meditative process the colours are chosen by just being in the here and now; letting the present moment take importance and allowing creativity to flow through. With an overwhelming motif of blue, Transcendence is the second part of a two-part collection showcasing Romano's brilliant knowledge and understanding of colour introducing vivid burgundy, purple, teal, orange, white and black to create an energy-filled wave of impasto acrylic on canvas.
