In the original Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, Charlie is tested as he puts the colorful, tempting everlasting gobstopper that he has always wanted to try on Willy Wonka's desk before him and his father are about to leave his office. Wonka was shocked as he replied "so shines a good deed in a weary world".
