The title of this original abstract mixed media painting is "Galaxy". I enjoyed layering bold colors of oil paint, creating a thick textured impasto style painting, which was inspired by space; an abstract interpretation of the galaxy. White and metallic inks are layered over the oil paint, letting the ink freely drip where it wanted to. Beautiful rocks are incorporated as well, which were smashed into different-sized pieces prior to affixing to the gallery-wrapped canvas. The rocks represent meteorites falling in the night sky.
